What is a Touch-Pad Auction?

Envision glowing touch-pad kiosks that entice patrons from atop cocktail tables, auction tables and even the bars. With wireless roaming computers, your patrons will no longer have to be in the silent auction area to participate in the auction, they can participate from anywhere in the venue, including right from their dinner tables or live auction.

The colors, excitement and ease of use of the computerized touch-pad experience will boost your auction participation which means more revenue generation. Watch your patrons as they use the "My Bids" feature to see what items they are winning and to easily re-bid on items they are losing. Since your entire auction is automated, there is no post-auction tabulation allowing you to keep your auction open longer, which means more time to raise additional funds. During the auction, big screen projection lures your patrons to auction highlights such as live auction items, current high bids, popular silent auction items, items without bids, auction sponsors, and even streaming video presentations.

Opposed to traditional bid sheet auctions, patrons can see what they are winning and losing with one simple click of My Bids. Not only can they review lost bids, but they can increase their bids immediately and get back in the lead on the auction items that are "must haves". This feature is by far the most utilized on event day and allows patrons to increase bids on multiple items in seconds without traveling throughout the auction area searching for items and bid sheets.

Okay so your silent auction has concluded but you still have many items that may not have received bids. Our unique Fire Sale feature turns all of your unsold items in to "Buy Now" items and allows the silent auction to reopen for a limited time. This allows patrons to get great bargains and gets those items sold off the floor so you don't have to return them to the office. The great thing about this last minute activity is that cashiering can open while Fire Sale is running so you don't delay the departure of guest that do not wish to participate. AES can also quickly reduce minimum bids on these items making them more attractive to guests who may have wanted the item at a lower price.

Buy Now gives your bidders complete control of winning the items they want most. They can either set their maximum bid and let other patrons bid against them or they can use the Buy Now feature and take the item out of the auction for a much higher price set by you. Place Buy Now prices on your most popular items and set the price at least 150% of the value and watch your patrons snatch up these great items.

This great feature allows patrons to browse the live auction items on the touch-pads before the live auction actually begins. Patrons who might not have participated in the live auction now have all the information they need about each and every item and are prepared to drive bids higher. Guests who may not have known there was going to be a live auction or might have disregarded the paper collateral will love this features as they can review the details of your great live auction items and be prepared to participate when the time comes.
